Context
This project involved the full renovation of an apartment in central Lisbon, Portugal, with the goal of adapting it to the daily use of a family with two children. The intervention reorganised the existing layout, clarifying circulation and creating flexible spaces capable of accommodating different uses over time.
Family Programme
The new programme included a private master suite for the couple, two children's bedrooms, a dedicated children's bathroom, a guest WC and a hybrid office space, easily convertible into a guest room.

Living Area and Kitchen
The living room and kitchen now function as an open-plan space with direct access to the terrace. The kitchen was designed as a central everyday area, incorporating a dining table, a bar zone, ceiling-height storage and a pantry.

Storage and Multifunctional Elements
Custom-made furniture solutions were developed to maximise storage and circulation, including integrated wardrobes in circulation zones and an entrance hall unit that acts as a spatial divider.

Terrace and Comfort
The terrace was renovated with the addition of an ecological deck, functioning as an extension of the living area. Underfloor radiant heating was also installed.

Before and After
Before the intervention, the apartment had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, glazed balcony, a service room and a terrace. After renovation, it now includes three bathrooms, a master suite, two bedrooms, two wardrobes, an office/guest room, a laundry room, open-plan social areas and a functional, well-organised terrace.
