Teambox architecture studio in Lisbon

About Teambox

Teambox is an architecture studio with over 20 years of experience, led by Architect Sandra Pereira, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon. We develop bespoke projects with a focus on clarity, technical rigour and quality of decision-making throughout the entire process.

Our approach starts from a simple idea: every project must respond to its place, climate and the real needs of those who use it. We favour solutions that are coherent with their context, use appropriate materials, and result in functional, durable design.

What guides us

  • Architecture integrated with its setting: reading the context, scale and constraints of each place.
  • Comfort and performance: attention to natural light, solar orientation and adaptation to the local climate.
  • Simplicity and elegance: clear solutions, without unnecessary complexity.
  • Sustainability: informed choices of materials and systems, tailored to each specific case.
  • Personalisation: decisions aligned with the client's lifestyle, priorities and budget.

What sets us apart

  • Technical and regulatory research before finalising design decisions.
  • Informed reading and interpretation of municipal plans and applicable frameworks.
  • Coordination of teams and technical disciplines as the project requires.
  • Balanced solutions with close attention to the defined budget.
  • Objective assessment of risks, potential and alternatives before proceeding.
  • Oversight of the planning process and liaison with authorities when necessary.

Coordination and team

Architect Sandra Pereira leads the studio and is directly involved in the main phases of each project, ensuring technical consistency, process clarity and design coherence. For each commission, we work with trusted teams (engineers, consultants and specialist technicians), scaled to the size and demands of each intervention.

Our work includes decision-making support from the earliest stages, helping to clarify objectives, reveal potential and compare alternatives realistically. For projects requiring planning permission, the team handles regulatory research and manages the relationship with authorities, ensuring technical continuity from start to finish.

International clients

We regularly work with international clients. Communication can be conducted in Portuguese, English, French and German, keeping documentation and decisions aligned with local requirements.

How we work with you

Every project starts with a clear diagnosis: what is possible, what makes sense for the site, and what the technical and legal implications are. From there, we design balanced solutions, explain the options, and adjust decisions to the context, budget and real use of the space.

Where we work

We develop projects and supervise construction in Lisbon and other regions of Portugal.
